Who is Hash Marks built for?
Parents, coaches and tryout evaluators of any player who wants to make their own game better, elite path or not. The data shows patterns you can act on: playing better in evening games than morning ones? Get to bed earlier before those early starts.
Is it for younger players?
Got a U7 or U9 player? Put the phone down. At that age, the only stats that matter are the size of the smile and how many times they wave at you mid-shift. When your player starts asking "How many shots did I have?", we'll be right here.
How much does it cost?
Think of this season as your free tryout. Every feature is free until March 31, 2027, no credit card needed. Next season brings the Season Pass, with simple pricing for families tracking one player or several. Details are coming soon, and early families will hear first.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone, Android phones, iPads and tablets, and computers, right from your web browser. There's nothing to download from an app store.
Does it work in arenas with no signal?
Yes. Everything you record saves on your phone first and syncs to your account when you reconnect. Add Hash Marks to your home screen for the best offline experience.
Does it track goalies?
Yes. Switch a player to Goalie for any game and track saves and goals against with their location. You get save percentage, goals-against average, a goalie shot map, where goals went in, and a full record, including overtime losses and shutouts.
Can I track more than one player?
Yes. Track siblings on the same team in one game, or follow several players across different teams, divisions and seasons.
Are these official league statistics?
No. Stats are recorded live from the stands by a parent or coach, and every report says so clearly.
How is my player's information protected?
Hash Marks stores only what it needs to track your player: their name, jersey number and the stats you record. Your data is private to your account, stored in Canada, and never sold. Read our privacy policy for the details.
Who's behind Hash Marks?
Two minor hockey players from Edmonton. We love the game and wanted to understand our own play better: how long our shifts really were, where our shots came from, which periods we played our best. So we built Hash Marks. It's not about pressure or proving anything to anyone. It's about learning a little more after every game and getting a little better each time.
